Mandela Grocery Cooperative is a black-owned and worker-owned grocery store located in West Oakland, CA. As a worker-owned co-op, the WORKERS OWN all aspects of the business. This documentary will showcase how regular people can start and own a grocery store right in their neighborhood. And it will highlight our African American history of cooperative ownership and the importance of keeping that tradition alive.
