The Basic Law on Social Solidarity Economy, which includes the legal foundation for the activities of social solidarity economic organizations such as social enterprises and cooperatives and the establishment of a government-level support system, passed the bill review subcommittee of the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee on the 24th.
Bok Ki-wang, chairman of the Democratic Party's Social and Economic Committee, wrote on Facebook, "The long-cherished 'Basic Act on Social Solidarity and Economy' has finally passed the subcommittee on the bill of the Ministry of Government Administration and Security," adding, "Now, passing the plenary session of the Ministry of Government Administration and Security and the plenary session of the National Assembly will lay the legal foundation for a people-centered economy, co-prosperity and solidarity."
