In May of 2019, one of our producers headed to this year’s Co-operative Conference held jointly by the Canadian Association for Studies in Co-operation (CASC), the Association for Co-operative Education (ACE), and the International Co-operative Association (ICA). In this special episode we get a variety of voices from the conference, with a variety of thoughts on youth representation and outreach. We also talk to academics who presented their research:
M.Sc. Senta Breuning of Hohenheim University, on German perception of co-operative values compared to values that are most important to them, and
Ph.D. Valérie Michaud at UQAM, on the role that branding plays in expressing a company’s values, especially in the context of co-ops, using the case study of the MEC branding controversy in 2013.
